Hi,
hope they do a good job, it's a wonderful interpration of an Orwellian nightmare for kids. I think of it as a classic, but my opinions are often divergent.
Nightmares is right-the disembodied brain "IT" scared the heck out of me. I was in 7th or 8th grade when I read that book, but it made quite an impression and I still have vivid memories of it. That book and Heinlein's Rocket Ship Galileo were my introduction to science fiction.
Don't get your hopes up. I read the script. It is very different from the book. They killed the spirit of the book IMHO. Production value is typical Canadian made for TV drek as well.
