I saw a very good ENCORE "Director's Chair" interview profile on Oliver Stone.I must say that I was never much of a fan, in terms of his films, until I saw this interview of him.
He is so PASSIONATE about filmmaking...especially his feelings of how Tv and films have lost their power to entertain and be..well, mind changing experiences. We are no longer experiencing films as much as just sitting there being assaulted by sound and pictures that are mostly meaningless to us...as opposed as they once were to people, a medium that captured your imagination and whole attention.
A truly revelatory interview, just insofar as it shows a person that's excited about what he is doing in Film.
Catch it if you can.
