I saw it and liked it. I walked out of the theatre feeling like I took a ride in the future.
Even the old ford truck that drove by seemed bizarre and futuristic. I think you should go
See it, and stop reading what the thumb guys have to say about it.

I saw it and wish I had gone with the reviews. I thought it was a waste of film.

I saw it the first afternoon it played here and skimmed the reviews afterward myself. I thought the movie fell apart when it went far into the future and that the script was really, really weak in general.I thought the ending was very poor and unsatisfying. The lead character was a total cliche. There was nothing to make me care about any of the characters, for that matter.
There were some nice tidbits in the future -- some of the effects, the look of NYC (though more like 2080 than 2030) and Orlando Jones.
It's great that you enjoyed it.
I think little of the opinions of Ebert and Roeper.
