  I saw it the first afternoon it played here and skimmed the reviews afterward myself. I thought the movie fell apart when it went far into the future and that the script was really, really weak in general.

  I thought the ending was very poor and unsatisfying. The lead character was a total cliche. There was nothing to make me care about any of the characters, for that matter.

  There were some nice tidbits in the future -- some of the effects, the look of NYC (though more like 2080 than 2030) and Orlando Jones.

  It's great that you enjoyed it.

  I think little of the opinions of Ebert and Roeper.
