Still waiting for "Where Eagles Dare" here !And while they are at it, how about "Giant", "Bad Day At Black Rock", and many other, older Film Classics.
What's taking so long ?
Follow Ups:
I saw this on a lot of release lists about two years ago. The date came and went and The Producers dvd quickly disappeared from radar.Did this have anything to do with the Broadway play? What's holding this classic up?
That one's been at the top of my list for a while. I think all the other MB films are available on disk, but that one's by far my favorite. Another slightly less oddball I'd like to see in DVD is Barton Fink, I'm sure it must be coming (soon?).
The Sting, in anamorphic widescreen, for pete's sake. The current P&S edition is a joke. With Marvin Hamlisch' great Scott Joplin score in remixed DTS, please.Endless Summer 1 & 2-ES2 was one of my reference laserdiscs-spectacular photography that would look awesome on a good DVD transfer.
Magic-a flawed thriller, but worth seeing for an eerie performance by Anthony Hopkins that foreshadows Silence of the Lambs.
I saw a new DVD edition of "The Sting" in a store...what version is that ?
It's the same old P&S version as the previous one, but with different cover art.
