Quite an experience for me."Horace McCoy's 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?' is next in line. This is another great tale that was made into a film in the 1960's starring Hanoi Jane Fonda and Gig Young. The movie is soul shattering, with depictions of dehumanization in the neighborhood of 'Schindler's List'." From a review on Amazon.
What about those depictions of dehumanization? Could it be? Right here in the US of A?
Follow Ups:
Horses is just an average film, not breaking any new grounds. I would lump it with "The Chase", and perhaps "The Liberation of L.B. Jones", both notable films, but not the List. The List is a different beast entirely, just a pile of shameless speculation in the modern Hollywood style. Trash really.
