I think I wanna go with Prot:-)Maybe it says something about what comes outta Hoolywood, or maybe it says something about my own taste (or lack thereof) but man, did I enjoy this flick! Ever since "The Usual Suspects" I've always been kinda hopeful of Kevin Spacey...personally, I think he came thru in this one. Obviously not quite the ground-breaking performance of Denzel (heh heh heh:) but geeze, I'd rent K-Pax again. Can't say the same for Training Day.
Follow Ups:
I bought the disc a couple of days ago and wasn't able to look at it until the wee hours. Initially I was going to watch enough to get a sense of it and then finish viewing another time but was enthralled by the thing and watched it right through. Excellent film. I believe Prot really was from K-Pax.
Loved Spacey in "Seven" as the serial killer.Remember him from his "Crime Story" portrayal of a Bobbie Kennedy character...well crafted.
His main Thing is knowing smugness...which he takes off from in all of his characters...sometimes it's appropriate, sometimes it's not.
I was riveted (actually re-ran it 3 times) by the very last scene of his face while he was in the wheelchair...I think I saw a "knowing" smile on his face:-)
I enjoyed it, too. Jeff Bridges was a good supporting actor as well.I saw the back end of training day on a flight from somewhere to somewhere else, and was definitely underwhelmed.
