There is no real purpose served by this television broadcast, for those other than the Media Monopoly's themselves. It has no discernable benefit on our society or culture.
Cancel it next year, and no one will know it's really gone.

I think I'll skip the Oscars next year and do something a little more constructive. Like cleaning the oven or getting a root canal.
