Just got a used DVD of this Widescreen Western and the sound is wretched and mono. Anyone know the scoop?clark

The old RCA Italy lp's are great if that's any consolation

I remember seeing it in a theatre back when first released and recall that its soundtrack was badly recorded. Really tinny sounding. It's one of the worse in terms of fidelity. It's compressed AND the eq curve is all wrong. It's even worse than "Lord Love A Duck", a film that is almost ruined for me because of its terrible soundtrack quality.
I have it on laserdisc and that's the way it is. Great movie, though.
