I agree with him--on some counts--but hey--"Never let the facts cloud good Story"--err Movie!

I've seen The 317 Platoon on the Indo China campaign--

-- very good but I still rate Battle for Algiers by a nose and lets not forget Paths of Glory and

All Quiet on the Western Front.

Excellent choice! 1930's All Quiet on the Western Front is my favorite. ...I'd ad Das Boot. Honorable mention: Malik's The Thin Red Line, was much better than SPR.
