I have a nice sony trinitron but have seen a couple dvd players on it and the picture it either to dark or too bright and these werent cheap dvd players. I am starting to think its the tv and not the players. What do you guys think. Right now I am running a PS2 on it and the picture is a little dark and my friends have one and the picture is fine and they have a trinitron also. Whats the dealio????
Follow Ups:
You sound like you are rather new to the world of TV setup, so I'd look for a DVD of either the AVIA setup disc or Video Essentials ( my bet is for this one if, as I said, you are new to this whole mess!).
These will show you how to set up you TV for optimum picture (and if connected to a sound system, that too!).
Cheers,
Dman
On every TV there is adjusment for contrast and brightness. Try to decrease contrast and increase brightness.
I replaced the av cable just for fun and it worked fine
