I just bought a new VCR with S-VHS compatibility. Where I live (un Asia) it is almost impossible to find a retailer who sells S-VHS tapes. Does anyone know any consumer on-line merchant that I can order from without paying an arm and a leg? Thanks

Thanks guys for your help. I just got a Panasonic 960 that does have an S-VHS ET feature allowing me to use ordinary VHS tapes. I was looking to try S-VHS recordings for the first time. I live in Asia and have gone to several of the consumer retailers to no avail. Appreciative of the links you've provided.
puch out a sensor hole on a regular VHS tape so that the deck thinks it is a SVHS tape.Don't know which deck you got, but the JVC's allows S-VHS ET recording capability on regular VHS tapes.
J&R Music World has good prices, not sure about getting them shipped to you overseas, but might be worth a look.
If you use a seach engine and look for SVHS tape you will find lots of places in the USA that sell them via mail-order. The link at the bottom is for Tape City in the UK. The sell SVHS tapes from £2.51 to £5.06 ($3.60 to $7.26 USD) and shipping might be a bit less. I have ordered from them a couple of times and received great service.
