Hi,
I recently got a Series 2 Tivo. So I am still on a learning curve (meant to get the new Farscape, and forgot to watch it, or record it).
However, Sat after dinner, I settled in to watch some tube, and got
Smallville off the Tivo, then an old Red Dwarf that it had snagged, and after that it was time for ST:Enterprise (which makes me glad I have a HT). That was kinda neat, I go to bed early, so even Smallville is on too late for me. Now I just need an easy way to find the stuff I want to watch.
I am still undecided as to the value of the thing; but it is starting to win me over.
Follow Ups:
I have had mine 16 months. Outstanding. Finally a device that serves me instead of the other way around! ...
You'll get addicted to the Tivo very quickly. Impossible to go back to dumb TV.
You do know you can search by keywords? And you can set it to record anything that has a keyword- actor, title, etc.For example, ypu get enter "sinatra" and it will find and record anything that has him in the schedule in any medium you have connected: network, cable, satellite.
To me this is one of the coolest features, plus the
"Seasons Pass"
Hi,
there's lots of stuff, old movies, unique stuff, that isn't easy to find. Maybe I should get TV Guide....
