Just installed my new sharp 9000 with the new Stewart Firehawk 100" 16x 9 screen.
Great combo. HD is lifelike, DVD's are wonderful, and standard directv is watchable. The 1.3 gain on the firehawk is nice, you can watch in ambient light with no problem. When the room is dark, the energy/lamp saving setting works fine.
Very Happy.

Works great with my new Pioneer DVD player 733A and aurora electric screen obtained from flea market.Mine has got a D4 input(Japanese version) and I put on Saec 3Xcomponent cable to D4 cable but the improvement in picture quality was slight and the picture size became smaller and couldn't be adjusted by the remote control.
Are you using Canare cable for component input?
Koo - Any other comments on the Japanese version of the Sharp Projector.
I was thinking of getting one and would like your input or anyone else who can provide information.
I'm using "straight wire" cable. It is a VGA breakout (RGB)for my DTS100 satellite box for HD. And Component from my Sony DVP S9000ES i am using "ONE WIRE" brand cable. very good. for my s-video i have a silver "straight wire".
Still playing with the gamma and color temp adjustments. every source is a little different.
