So, for Mother's Day, my wife and I decided to share one of our favorite movies with our young children. Out came the DVD, and into the Sony DVP S-7700 it went. The movie started, and I should have recognized a problem immediately - it was black and white, not sepia. Then, when Dorothy landed in Oz and opened her door, the world was still black and white. No color. And no color for the entire disk. Any light to shed here?

Did you check your connections? If you are using component connections loss of the 'green' will turns things into b&w.
I had a bad cable that caused this awhile back.
All I ask is for a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
the color signal may not be getting through. Try another S-video cable.
Don't have to try a new cable. Just have to make sure this one is snugged in properly. I feel better now. Thanks.
