Hi,
I have a speakerset from ELAC (CL142 main and CL82 for the effects, 4 ohms). Now I want to upgrade my pro logic receiver with a dolby digital receiver. Possible solutions were: SONY DB930, YAMAHA RXV 795, DENON 3300, ONKYO 676,Maranz???...?
Has there anybody good or bad experiences with one of them? Would it be better (more features / better sound) to take one prize-class higher (Sony DA50, Yamaha A2/RXV2095, Onkyo 777...)Are they worth it?thanks for the infos
Tom
Speaking from a personal expertise as an owner and audiophile grade sales
rep. I'll qualify my commentary to you question along several criterion.
PRICE-SOUND FIELD QUALITY-LATER EQUIP. UPGRADING-AND CURRENT USER FLEXIBILITY FOR USER PLEASURES, THE Sony DB930 is a cruiser above the rest. My owner and user experienced is qualified by the following; I've owned the following ONkyo TX-DS838 DEnnon 2700 SOny DE915 and field tested the SOny DB930. With exception of YAhmaha top of the line Recievers which are as cost prohibative as DEnnon 5700 Mod. that Sony DB930 IS A WONDERFUL PIECE OF HARDWARE APPROACHING SONY'S ES grade components. And sincerely advising, you'll not regret that purchase if made.
