In Reply to: Poineer Elite Pro 510HD vs Poineer SD 532 HD, picture quality? posted by john k.. on November 18, 1999 at 11:37:17:
The dealer is incorrect. The elite 510 has the purecinema 3:2 pulldown/doubler that is being heralded as the single best doubler ever put into an RPTV. It also has a better higher pitch screen. There are so many differences between the two that I cannot begin to list them. Try hometheaterforum.com and search for 510 and 610 pioneers. Do yourself a favor and get the elite. YES it costs more. YES you don't need the Urishi cabinet (I hate it too) but, it is a much better picture and will handle everything perfectly
(JPK) I was aware of the .52 vs .72 pitch, but I did not know the 532 did not have the 3:2 pull down. I was pertty much sold on the Elite and I couldn't figure why the dealer was saying that the defferences aren't that great, except as a friend he was trying to save me a little money, which isn't the issue. The picture quality is!
Thanks again for the lead to hometheaterforum.com.john k...
