Check first if they have a video input on their TV,if not dual DVD/VHS decks ie: the Go Video 4200 has an RF out which most if not all dvd players lack. 4200 is available from QVC or J&R & others....

My mother-in-law was given a Samsung model. Lots of artifacts, but then again she's connecting via an F-input. Older TV.
