I've just noticed this recently, so maybe it wasn't there before, but when there is text on the screen it's slanted downward at the bottom left corner of my TV. the whole picture is probably the same way but it's easier to notice with words. ie: words on left of screen are lower than words on right of screen, and everything is just tilted. The TV isn't near any speakers. the only thing next to it is my receiver (which should be shielded) and my DVD player. Any idea?

I had a ~31" CRT that had a switch to compensate for this (a plus or minus tilt switch).
If the whole image is slanted...you might try to search for the tilt or pincushion adjustment in your user or service menu.
The ring / magnet assembly on the back of the picture tube probably needs to be adjusted.
Yes, it sounds like the yoke is twisted. My old Toshiba TV, now down in the basement, has this problem. I never noticed it until I played a video game on it with some sort of grid structure and noticed the picture was slightly slanted. I just decided to live with it.
