Just bought a Sony DVP 9000. Can't hook it up to my TV. I can hook it to my Mitsubishi VCR, but salesman said the output of the VCR will be noisy due to copy protection. He recommended I buy a new TV and hook the DVD up to it directly. The old TV works fine, I'd like to keep it.
Any suggestions? I'm not really interested in copying the stuff, just want to view it.

You didn't say "why" you couldn't hook up the DVD player to the TV, so I'm going to guess that it's because you only have one type of input -- RF/coax. If this is the reason, click on the link to Parts Express. This model will accept L/R audio and composite video from DVD player and output via an RF/coax connector to your TV.

That's a PartsExpress problem. The part number is 180-319. Just type it in the first "search" section.
And I may need two units. Maybe one from Parts and one from Rat shack? You guys are great.
You need a RF Modulator available from Radio Shack.http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&category_name=CTLG_002_004_007_000&product_id=15-1244
I'll try again.
Just the thing.
