I would be dearly grateful. As you will know the UK machines only output 525p (NTSC) through the component output. PAL progressive (625p) is nearly here, but existing players could perhaps be hacked?

Hi DavidI'm afraid I can't answer your question, but you may be able to answer mine. I have a US Widescreen TV (HDTV). I am now in Europe and want a DVD with Progressive scan for PAL movies.
Would a PAL progressive scan DVD work on and NTSC progressive scan TV using component video output?
