Hi, I recently bought a RP-82 and I just can't seem to find the GAMMA CORRECTION setting.
-Did Panasonic make an error in their specs? and I would like to know what I'm missing from that fonctionAlso the one I bought seems to look different from the first picture that was published.(Mine looks like the model on the Panasonic.com website)Mine was manifactured July 2002
-Is there a difference between the two models?-What does the "ADVANCE RESOLUTION" symbole you find on the the sticker on the front of the panel mean? (is it for the 4:4:4 signal processing)

I also have a RP-82. I don't think there is a discrete gamma setting. There are picture memory modes (Cinema1, Cinema2, etc.) of which some increase the gamma setting. The photo of the 82 on Panasonic's Web site is a pre-production model. Your's is the final production model.
I believe the "Advance Resolution" sticker does nothing more than indicate that the RP-82 is capable of playing back DVD-Audio soundtracks. You'll see that same "Advance Resolution" logo on my DVD-Audio discs.
