Hi all-
I'm considering buying a slightly higher end DVD player and am debating between the Rotel and the Denon. I was leaning towards Denon because I've heard a lot of complaints about people buying it with defects but was wondering if anybody had any advice, experience, whatever?
Follow Ups:
jon,I purchased the 3800 about two months ago, I was a little skeptical at first because oringinaly the unit had the dreaded "croma bug" issue. So, I shopped around looked at a few different player's and in the end went with the 3800. I was assured by Denon that the 'croma bug' was fixed in all new 3800 being shipped. The fix was a software upgrade.
I can now say that I am glad I went with the 3800, it is a excellant device, the picture is spectacular, colors are so vibrant and rich in detail. Plus the unit is built beauitfuly, I am very impressed with the Denon product. A+ on the Audio as well, I am hearing such subtle deatails in my DVD librairy that I never heard before...I think..=)
I just purchased the denon 3800 about a month ago, i must say i am very pleased with the unit. It has amazing picture quality, almost 3d. The thing is built like a tank, in a time where dvd players are getting smaller, lighter and skinnier, it is nice to have something that shows what you payed your hard earned money on. I would recommend this unit very highly. go denon....
Thanks for the feedback!
