The plasma I'm currently drooling over is the Sony PFM50C1... However, its inputs are 2 15-pin RGB, S-video and composite. It doesn't have any component inputs. I know there are cables that convert component to 15-pin, but they don't convert the signal to RGB. I am also unaware of any DVD players that output RGB. What is the general solution here? Are there RGB enabled DVD players, or is this model of plasma designed to discourage home-use and encourage business use?
Follow Ups:
In many cases (My Sony 42" BU2, for example) the RGB port also accepts a component signat (YUV) when you select that option from a menu. Bettercables.com sells a breakout cable (one end vga, other, RCA) for about $100 bucks. Confused the hell out of me initially, but the bettercables people say it is a pretty common setup.
