Unless your 32" CRT is in a bookcase, you likely have room for a 40-42" 16:9 rear projection HDTV ready set.

I was torn between a 4:3 36inch SDTV, 4:3 36inch HDTV, and a 16:9 34inch HDTV. Had TV viewing been a high priority for me, I would have opted for the widescreen set in in heart beat, even though it was like $2300USD. For even less than that, you can get a 43inch (give or take) rear projection set, and have even more screen real estate.I felt sucker to even consider the 4:3 HDTV monitor. But thought the SDTV was the better bargain at $1100 for just watching the ocassional DVD or VHS tape. the 16:9 was just too rich (pun not intended!) for my blood. I don't watch TV on it. Maybe I should be glad I can't justify a better TV? Seems too elitist. We'll just leave it at that.
