I've noticed that more and more games are coming out on X-box and GameCube that are 480p compatible. Great, but can someone answer me this question:-Since these two systems are not prgressive scan players, what kind of TV do you have to be connected on to get the progressive signal? Will any HDTV ready sets converte the signal from 480i to 480p or do you need a TV with a special built-in decoder?
Follow Ups:
The xbox has a progressive output capability that is 480p for games. It can go right into the progressive input into your tv - no upscaling requied. the graphics are great.
HDTV sets have line doublers in them that will convert the 480i to a progressive signal.
