By doing some sort of ( Surround L + Surround R ) / 2 and placing it in the L & R channel, with one of the signal's phase inverted. This way, the information could be extracted by DPL processors.I presume they are already doing it for the center channel, or else dialogue would never be present in DD/DTS 5.1 via analog 2ch output.
