Havn't seen the set in person yet, but I checked out their site. First try "theater" setting, and turn "sharpness" all the way down. Next, get a progressive scan DVD player. Also, I would upgrade to a Hi Def satellite box, you will be blown away by what your TV can actually do. Finally, all TV's need to be calibrated OOTB by a qualified technician, using test equipment, if you want to see them at their best.

Thanks for the reply seth. I think you are correct concerning the progressive scan DVD, that would probably do it. On the satellite side of things it appears that i'm dealing with MPEG2 compression artifacts that were there before but I couldn't see them on the old 19". So I think even with the top o' the line HD Directv receiver, I will still be experiencing the same problems except on the few HD channels.....I have ordered the AVIA setup disk and I hope this will help somewhat until I have the money to get the set professionally calibrated.
thanks again for your input!
