I find it interesting that you use the HTS as an outboard DAC
for the Levinson 39. I would assume you find the DAC's in the
HTS superior to the DAC's in the Levinson, which is quite an
achievement for a processor. Thanks for your input.I intend to compare the HTS7.1 with the Showcase as my dealer
stocks both. BTW, which amp do you use with the HTS ?

I have my No. 39 hooked up both ways using the 7.1 as a DAC and as a pre-amp since the 7.1 doesn't use the PM HDCD decoding chips. The DAC chips Krell uses are outstanding, plus I can use the Krell DSP modes that way, although I find I use the full range + sub which just allows me to add the sub to the fronts during two channel listening mostly.I have Classe amps. As I mentioned before, to my ear, they are the sweetest SS amps around. I run two CA 400, mono, to my fronts currently, with CA 100s to my center, sides and rears.
