is this happening when a horizontal line is presented in the picture or as a constant effect on the screen no matter what is presented?
Follow Ups:
Only when certain static lines/shapes are on the screen. Kind of like the effect you get when someone wears tight pattern clothes on normal TV and the lines all kind of crawl.
hummm. have you tried turning off the sharpness control on your TV? sometimes that can cause the effect.... otherwise it sounds like you might need to attenuate the signal to your TV??? not sure.Sam
The sharpness (VSM) is off, but I have not severed the circuit mechanically. Perhaps it is the boost on the signal. I've got a rat shack 30 dB amp on the antenna feed and it's pegged full gain. Can that actually harm the digital signal? Maybe I'll try backing it off a bit.
i was thinking of attenuating the signal from the decoder to the TV. You also might try the other suggestion of using an Avia or Video Essentials DVD to adjust the levels.... they could be set to high.
