OK I just got a flat screen HDTV and had some questions. Right now I have the vcr and dvd player going into the reciever and the receiver into the tv. I have component hookups for my ps2 and will hook that into the tv but my question is I dont have any svideo or component video output from teh receiver. Should I hook up hte video out portion of all my components to the tv and send the audio cables to the receiver? If not how do i get the high def video to the tv and still use surround sound?
Follow Ups:
if your receiver does not have "Component" outs, then your only choice is to send the video signals directly to the TV from DVD (etc.) and send the audio signal to the receiver. Your ONLY drawback is that you won't get the Receiver Menus on the TV, but not having the Receiver in the signal path should be a great thing for you video!
