Since my center speaker in my HT system will be lying on top of my TV, I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion of what to put underneath the speaker. Will putting the speaker on top of the TV damage the speaker in any way? What material should I use to reduce/eliminate any vibration between the TV and speaker. Thanks for the help.

I had a "shelf" made of acrylic to house my large center under the TV, then I padded it with foam not to echo...I didnīt like the sound coming from above the TV, not natural at all, now it "comes" from the TV, also I prefer the TV a little higher, so I can lean against the sofa, put my feet up on the table without interfeering... :)

Rubber door stops under the rear and vibrapods under the front.......the door stops tilts the speaker down a bit.
Lovan makes a center channel stand called a "Director"...Sanus makes a similar shelf. Both are placed on top of the TV.I think AudioAdvisor carries both brands, if you wanna see some pics.
Hi. I would further spike the center channel speaker with threadless cones, cemented to the speaker cabinet`s base. Cones on my center speaker gave it much more detail and focus although mine`s on a marble base under my set. Robin
I took an old mouse pad and cut it up into four squares. It works well and is cheap.

I just got a refrigerator sized Klipsch KLF C7 center channel and put it ontop of a Sony 53". Laid wide tracks of industrial grade velcro on the top of the TV and underside of the speaker. Pretty sure it doesn't help with vibrations, but am hoping it keeps the Klipsch right side up during the next temblor.
