I have owned this product for 2 years, and it has performed flawlessly. It consists of a 5x100 watt reciever, I think the 100 watts is stated as dynamic power in the manual. 5 Satellite speakers, a 8" 100 watt sub, and a 5 disc DVD player. I have the system in my 23x14x8' family room. played loudly it shakes house, without distorting too badly. for a HTIB I am pretty impressed with it, as are most of my friends, but most of them listen to vinyl or cassettes on Soundesign systems from the 80's. all in all it is a fine system for someone looking for the convience of one box, althought that one box weighs 80 lbs. for a first time home theater it fills the bill. it plays music well, although now I am looking at upgrading first my speakers, then eventually, my components, and use the JBL as my second system. Dialogue is pretty clear, but the dynamics are somewhat limited by Satellites with 3" woofers, and 5/8" tweeters. listening to the satellites up close, like 6", they sound like transistor radio speakers, but sitting in my favorite chair, with the speakers & sub set up correctly they sound good. the sub is not very musical, kind of thumps along, but does quite well on movies, considered the price paid

Product Weakness: Basic system can't be expected to do everything. Sub kind of thumpy,
Product Strengths: easy set up, one box contains all you need to start enjoying a home theater in your own home, speaker wires. plays loud.DVD player plays wide variety of formats.remote easy to use
