Over the years I've collected three of these things. The oldest one, TVAtor Pro, requires the installation of drivers and is a real pain to use, but the quality is very good. More modern ones are just plug and play and reside between the computer and monitor. In your case, it would just hang on the VGA output.Cost is around $300 depending on maximum resolutions convertable and quality of output. You could spend more or less.
I currently use the AVerMedia AVerKey 300. It is fairly nice. Most converters have composite and S-video outs. Ones available today may even have component outs, I don't know.
