In the newest issue of Widescreen Review (Austin Powers on the cover) Richard Hardesty whose opinion I respect greatly states pretty much the same thing for pretty much the same reason (no analog bypass). He also rated
the Parasound 2500 as a superior unit for music.
I guess the consumer must decide whcih is more important...video processing or two channel audiophile sound. I just received a response from a Lexicon owner dealer that states for his sytem he chose the M1 over the Parasound and Citation units. It is a real confusing situation for us poor consumers. Perhaps I should just purchase the Sony TAN9000 ES for $1600 because the Perfect Vision wrote an article that claimed its processing was superior to Parasound's 2500 but was not as good for two channel sound.
