Anyone out there using dual Belden 1694a cables with BNC connectors feeding into "Breakout" dual BNC to S-video Y adapters at each end, as shown on the bluejeanscable web site? How is it performing?
Will be using it for two 50' S-video cable runs, supposed to perform better (at long lengths) than regular S-video cable.
Follow Ups:
Main advantage is a bit less signal attenuation. Frankly, 50' is not a particularly long run. You may or may not see a difference.
I left an old Markertek 50' s-video cable in the run, which seemed to perform Ok, so I should be able to easily compare the two.Actually the main reason for going this route was that it was less expensive to buy one 500' roll of 1694a, to cover all the RF coaxial and s-video cables I needed, as compared to smaller lengths of specialized cable.
