I got one of these a week ago and it looks very nice. This is the forth tv in a month
and I'm happy to say,I'm keepin this one.I'm told its a Samsung. The Samsung model
runs about $400.This is a great deal.The three sets I returned were,a JVC 27"flat,
a Philips 27"flat and the Akai 30"wide.The reason for these returns were,JVC had a very poor tuner and a soft picture.the Philips did color real bad and seemed
to be lower res(low detail).the Akai 3090 looked nice with DVD's and had a great tuner but the tuner went south(black screen)This Akai 2791 has the finest picture I've
seen on any 27"(it does take a little tweakin in the service menu(mute-1-8-2-power)
I leave you with this,You can still get a good Quality flat 27 " tv for $250.WOW!
Also it does 16:9 really well.
