I just purchased a Toshiba HDX82 tv. I wanted a satellite dish but can't have one at my apartment, so i got cable. The signal is digital to them and analog to me up to channel 100, then it becomes digital. My question is, which brand of HDTV receiver is decent. I would be willing to spend up to 300.00, maybe a little more if necessary.Regards, Bob.

Depending on where you live & who your cable company is, you might be able to lease one of them.Mine is going to cost $5.95 per month when it arrives on Monday -- the same as I'd pay for a digital set-top box.
Good idea. I didn't know they could be leased. Thanks for the advice. Regards, Bob.
Charter Comunications leases them for $3.00 per month for their customers. Bob.
Of course, the standard digital set-top box would have cost the same thing, so I'll eat it for HDTV!!!
