Hi All:I inherited a Sony DVP-S7000 (not hooked up yet)[No, it does not have the MacroVision defeat switches]. I also own a Sony DVP-NS700P (that has progressive output & DTS [currently in use]). I will be receiving the Bravo D-1 DVD player with the digital connector (as I also have a Sony KF-50 XBR900 (LCD projection HDTV capable TV with the DVI input).
I have not hooked up the S-7000 yet. Is the output from the S-7000 better than the progressive output I now receive from the 700? Does the 7000 do anything great (like CD output or SACD )?
In other words, should I keep the S-7000 for some function?
Follow Ups:
The 7000 doesn't do SACD, but has a good CD output section for a dvd player. Even better, it can make a very good transport when teamed up with a quality DAC for CD output. If you decide not to keep it you might want to list it at www.audiogon.com, which does a good amount of traffic among audiophiles.
but it is pretty neat inside.

its a good machine when it was made, the progressive signal from your current dvd player will look better. If your tv has a built in line doubler hook up the 7000 and judge for yourself which is better. If your current setup looks better than the 7000 you can always give it to me, I'd be happy to take it off your hands, haha.
