Does anyone out there have LAT Cables for component video? I'd like to know if they're any good. I have Bluejeans now, and am happy. But I'm looking for something that will give me a razor-sharp picture.Yours truly,
Follow Ups:
If you're running Kurt's Canare wires, I think that's as good as it gets unless you have a REALLY long (like more than 50') run. Even then it might not make a difference.I have the same wires, BTW. Sent back some more expensive Better Cables as I couldn't see the difference. Panny RP-91 DVD player feeding an ISF-calibrated Panny 47WX49 widescreen, straight connection, 2 meter length.
Doesn't the Bettercables use Belden 1695a? I too use the Bluejeans for component, which are the 1694a (bundled in a 7710a). If so, then your findings show that there isn't much difference in the two, used for video. In reserching the archives to pick my cables, there seemed to be two camps on the issue.
Shows them to be virtually identical. Only real difference seems to be Teflon vs. PVC outer jacket.Anyone who can claim to see differences must have FAR better eyesight than I do. Maybe some sort of nocturnal animal or something. ;-)
to go along with their golden ears , I guess.
