The devices that poster below reffered to are not what you are looking for. This devices will only take A/V signal, modulate it to RF, and then convert it back into one frequancy RF or A/V again.
What you need is wide band amplifier/transmitter. I'm aware of such units exist cause I had chance to work with two different models. I have never found any place to buy them. They were both custom order from factory. Non-comertial units.
But... (there is always a but). I had succes using basic RF amp whose output is connected to antenna as transmitter, and then you just pick up signal with a TV by antenna. It works, but not very good. Actually those transmitters were the same thing, just high power, transmitting to 100-200 meters clear. Why don't you just run a cable? Takes 25 minutes, 2 beers, 5 nails.
Follow Ups:
I need to get cable run anround the baseboards behind the carpet and through the A/C closet etc.I've been billed by my rental company twice for them having to go and plug the RF cables back so the snowbirds can watch video on channel 3. They didn't know how to punch "Video 1" on the remote.
So if one was to use the devices listed below for cable, along with a cable tuner in a VCR, he would only get one channel at a time, depending on what the VCR tuner was set. He would then have to some sort of wired or wireless remote control extender system to change channels on the vcr at the location of his secondary TV, unless the said devices also had that included. Correct?I agree with you on pulling a cable, once one gets the terminating ends right, which is quite easy, it's a breeze to install a whole house distribution system.
Yes, this devices will allow for exactly what you said. Unfortunatlly this devices won't help this guy.
