i currently have a pair of polk rt 10 tower speakers for my rear surrounds.the tweaters are about 6 feet off the ground. i was thinking of adding another set of surrounds to this smallish listeng room. the second set of surrounds would have amplification and level controls independent of the existing surrounds. the existing surrounds are on the sides. what kind of placement would i use for the second set of surrounds? any ideas or opinions would be appreciated

I would put the new pair in the back, behind the listener. I'd also experiment with their direction to obtain the optimal surround field.
Of course it is essemtial that all speakers be in phase and that the levels are set identically using a sound level meter.
