Thus far my unit and the one at the store both have this problem...When using the component outputs and progressive scan the actual movie looks fine, but on menus and featurettes the colors are reversed and the image looks very blue. Very strange indeed!! This does not occur when switching to interlace or when using a composite output. If it was only my unit and my HD set I could understand that something is defective, but the same thing happened at the store with another 963SA and another television, blue menus and color shifts on all but the actual DVD movie!! Anyone else getting this??
Follow Ups:
Besides the progressive scan switch in the back there is also one in the user settings menu called PScanOut. Change it from Unprocessed to 480p.
Nope.
Yup! I was messing around with the settings - it seems to be tied to one of the video settings when in Progressive Scan. Make sure P-Scan Aspect ratio is OFF. I screwed up the factory settings in attempting to tweek the video settings.I am using the new A-Q triple balancd RCA Diamond backs. Took a while for the unit to "break-in", but the sound is stunning, especially when my CD's are played back at 192K upsampling. Beats the pants off my Rotel 991 AE which uses AQ triple balanced XLR's. It plays any DVD-A s that has video tracks (great sound). SACD is great and the picture is superb.
Main problem is that the manual does not give the factory defaults and there are ssome settings not discussed in the manual.
