If I had to guess I would say that you have a couple of the colors crossed -or- you're missing one of the colors - possibly RED. Double check your connections.

Abe. I've checked and checked everything is connected correctly. I've noticed though that if I undo the blue connector the video becomes gray also if I undo the red connector the video is gray as well. But once I connect all the 3 connectors together everything becomes bluish.
When you disconnect the blue/Pb connection, you see gray because the red/Pr connection has a signal problem (ie, seeing gray means you're only getting the Y signal).Where is the problem? It could be the Pr input on the projector, the Pr output on the DVD player and/or the cable you're using for that part of the component signal.
To rule out the projector and the DVD player, leave the green/Y cable connected and take the blue/Pb cable and connect it at both ends to the red/Pr connectors. If the picture looks reddish, your red/Pr cable is bad. If it's still gray, then the projector and/or the DVD player has a problem with the red/Pr signal.
Ok. I'll try it tonight. But what if the projector and/or the DVD player has a problem with the red/Pr signal? What shall I do then?
One bridge at a time, please.
