I have a 27" Panasonic flat CRT. I'm looking for a DVD player, video cable (interlaced transfer) and toslink cable for audio. This is not an HDTV and I will not upgrade in near future. I run my audio (digital PCM) to a decent 2 CH system with good DAC. Can anyone make some recommendations based on my current equipment? Also, soon my stereo and TV will be seperated. Should I leave tne DVD with the TV or move DVD with stereo. In other words it better to have a 15' run of video or digital audio.
Follow Ups:
This is considered one of the best DVD players for interlaced video. It is now discontinued, but there are still some around. The last I saw at Crutchfield, it was $299 ($699 list when first released). I'm sure you can find it cheaper if you spend some time looking. Some comments:
Terrific audio and video as well as flawless performance from mine for going on two years (as of March '04).
