Follow Ups:
After reading your comment I read two reviews for the new Sony XBR (in "The Perfect Vision" and "Sound and Vision") and both reviews were terrific. I actually saw the unit with the Florida State - Florida football game in HD (Comcast Cable) at my local Tweeter store and was not overly impressed with the picture (must have been a connection somewhere) although I will say the new 30" XBR looked very good. It is a little more than I wanted to spend, but may be my best choice even over the Loewe. I wish I could compare them side by side. Thank you for your post.PS - If you don’t mind me asking, what did you have to pay for yours? Did you get a discount off of the $2500 price tag?
What kind of progressive DVD player are you using?
Are you receiving HD signals or just analog TV and DVD?
I paid $2,200.00 plus I bought the correct SONY stand and I think
I paid somewhere near $275 or $300 for the stand.
Well worth it as the TV is heavy and it looks stunning.
One extra thing I did to the stand though was to put 14 2" ball casters on the bottom around the edge so I could move the TV around.
