just bought this tv today, and after watching a few minutes, noticed two dots (pixels?) on either side of the screen, exactly halfway down, in the outside black border. don't really remember seeing that black border at the store, I thought the picture completely filled the screen, but I could be wrong. Also seems to be some shadows around figures in front of a dark background. May be because our satellite goes through receiver, then vcr, then tv. necessary to record this way. When we first hooked up with s-video picture seemed better. anyone else notice those "dots"?
Follow Ups:
Yeh. I see them and took them to be calibration points having to do with the mechanical frame on the shadow-mask/screen assembly. Nothing to worry about. But how about this? Does your set issue a loud, growling sound when movie background sound tracks have low freq. tones? I suspect some resonance in the housing or the "double baffle" cute stuff Toshiba brags about.
