I need to calibrate a friends 50" Sony LCD. I`ll be using Digital Video Essentials. Aside from not having to do the convergence, what else do I need to know? I`ve calibrated many CRT based sets but have never done a LCD based set. Mates your help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Chris
Follow Ups:
You aren't really callibrating the set with the VE DVD, but you are setting the video adjustments correctly if you follow the instructions on the disc. An ISF certified person with all the necessary gadgets is what's required to callibrate a TV, and it's not necessarily only about convergence. ISF tuning can be done to any TV, even tube and plasmas, and is well worth it on high quality sets.
.
Why would LCD need convergence calibration?
