This weekend I had the chance to pick up a free 52" projection tv monitor( NEC, MODEL DT-5260S) and while I did finally end up getting it, I notice that the picture is not as clear as I would like it to be. The tv is around 10 years old from what I was told by the original owner. The picture sometimes puts a blue outline of the people that are on, and we have messed with all the settings that we can, sometimes the picture is better, until we change to another channel. I was told by others that have newer big screen tv's, that the bulbs inside ( there are three of them) are going bad, and the cost to replace these is around $100 each. Any ideas as of what could be wrong with the pictures, and is it worth getting new bulbs for it if that is what is wrong ??
Any information on this would be great.
