The spec I've most often seen for 16x9 plasams is 1280 X 720 (or occasionally, 1365 X 768).

It's right. The two Sonys I am looking at are different; one is 1024x1024 and the other is 124x768. I've seen both specs in other lines as well. FWIW.
Hi, I am correct. The one I am looking at is the Philips 42FD9934. I have also seen other brands with such resolution. Here is the link for the Philips leaflet.
