Wish I could tell you more...I learned of it over at DLP Sammie discussions at AVS forum. Technical changes over my heard, but if you've been following the problems section, you know that there have been some tweaks needed to fix the pic, etc. But I was strongly advised by AVS posters to avoid any Sammie without the W1 designation, thankfully CC agreed and got me the latest...at lower price!

Maybe my ignorance is bliss! I have not had serious problems. The only problem was during football season when I first got it, it was clipping the scores at the top of the screen. I used my basic DTV remote and played around with it to fill out the picture on the screen. It worked and no more problems. I guess you know that HDTV is outstanding on both sets. Other than paying too much when they first came out (I went into that with my eyes open!), and wishing for a slightly better standard TV picture across all programs, I'm happy. Even the standard TV picture got better over time. If you find out the deal, I'd appreciate knowing! Thanks again. George
